Features of 100W flexible solar panel
ETFP top surface
Traditional flexible solar panels use a glossy PET top surface. This panel has a ETFE top surface having the following advantages:
- Higher output – higher percentage of sunlight passing through.
- Research shows ETFE degrades less in sunlight than PET – reduces sunlight damage and panel delamination.
- Self-cleaning – a property of ETFE.
9 bus bar technology
- Increased solar panel efficiency – since it allows the cells to be more densely packed together.
- Greater shade tolerance – since less cells are connected in series. Especially important in UK conditions.
- Longer lasting – the solar cells are divided into smaller parts making them more resistant to mechanical damage.
- Less energy loss – the greater number of bus bars reduces the path of flowing current, thereby reducing energy losses resulting from resistance.
Other features
- Four reinforced stainless steel mounting holes or adhesive fixing option.
- CE and RoHS certified.
- IP67 rated junction box.
Compatibility
- MC4 compatible connectors.
- Suitable for marine applications.
- Compatible with the charge controllers listed in the ‘You may also like’ section below when used in a single solar panel set up. If using more than one panel, please call us for recommendations on suitable charge controllers.

Replacing Sunpower panel on our Westerly Consort. Figured could buy two of these for the same price. They look and feel good and creating more power than our old panels which is pleasantly surprising – time will tell how long they last.

Very happy with the solar panel. Much more powerful than our previous one and only slightly bigger.

Easy to fit. The only thing that could be better is the cables on the panels are quite long we need to work out how to store the excess cable.

Thanks so much for your feedback. You can cut the solar panel cables and then install a new MC4 connector below the roof – we do sell a tool kit if that helps “Solar Crimping Tool For MC4 Connectors” and spare connectors “Solar MC4 Connectors”.

Cheapest I could find and think I made the right choice.
