High rate of charge making it ideal for boats which often have large or twin alternators. Each battery can charge at 150 amps, meaning 4 batteries in parallel can charge at 600 amps.
High rate of continuous discharge of 150 amps with pulse current of 300 amps. Ideal for high load applications such as boat electric winches or windlasses. In normal applications this means the internal wiring is comfortably oversized giving you peace of mind.
High end grade A prismatic cells sourced directly from the leading manufacturers Eve or Gotion. Superior to the standard 18650 or 32700 cells found in many LiFePO4 batteries.

Advantages of lithium LiFePO4 vs lead acid


3x lighter making it ideal for campervans and boats where weight can be important.
[A 100Ah lithium battery should be 90% utilised i.e 90Ah is useable. A lead acid battery of 180Ah should only be 50% utilised i.e. 90Ah useable. Therefore a 100Ah lithium battery weighing 10kg is equivalent to a 180Ah lead acid battery weighing about 30kg.]
1.8x more power when comparing a 100Ah LiFePO4 battery with a 100Ah lead acid battery.

Lower cost as at face value some 100Ah deep cycle lead acid batteries are less expensive than a 100Ah LiFePO4. But after comparing like with like, you are likely to find LiFePO4 is significantly less expensive.
[Adjustments needed to compare like with like:
1) Usable capacity – A 100Ah lithium battery should be 90% utilised i.e 90Ah is useable. A 100Ah lead acid battery should only be 50% utilised i.e. 50Ah useable. Therefore you need to compare a 100Ah LiFePO4 price with a 180Ah lead acid deep cycle battery.
2) Life expectancy – LiFePO4 are likely to last at least 2x longer than quality deep cycle lead acid batteries such as Trojan or Rolls.
3) Charge speed – LiFePO4 can charge faster than lead acid due to its much lower internal resistance. So a 100W solar panel might put 80W into a LiFePO4 battery compared to a lead acid only charging at 60W.]
3x longer life as LiFePO4 lasts for more cycles than lead acid. LiFePO4 is is also more tolerant to part cycles where the battery is not charged to 100% after each discharge.

Got 4 of these for the houseboat. The perfect size for the existing battery box. One thing that I did not think about was I need to upgrade the shore power battery charger to be compatible with LiFeP04. Getting rid of the gas as well and switching to induction hob. Quite an investment but happy with choice and good telephone support.

Bought the 200Ah battery for my boat and it’s been excellent. Lightweight, fast charging, and no need to constantly worry about power. The only downside is the high cost, but I guess you get what you pay for. Highly recommend!

Live off grid in a “tiny home” and thought i would try one of these. Liked the idea of seeing the charge status of the battery on the phone so i can see easily what is going on. Delivered fast, easy to install..

Battery arrived quickly. Came 60% charged so topped it up to 100% using a battery charger I bought on ebay (yet to buy a solar panel). Headed out at the weekend and ran lights, radio, phone charging and laptop for watching films and still 30% when got back. Going to add a solar panel so we can stay away for longer. Also need to wire it into the alternator – next project. Totally happy.
