Water resistant to IP67 making it one of the most waterproof charge controllers on the market. The “solar charge controller for boats” is fully encapsulated with epoxy (compared to other well know brands which only have a thin coating). This makes it ideal for the marine environment.

Very quiet due to natural cooling. It has a large aluminium surface area for a controller of this size (rather than plastic covers on other well known solar charge controllers). Alternative charge controllers have a fan which may not be ideal in a small environment like campervans or caravans.

MPPT vs PWM
Charge controllers are either Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) or Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). They can look identical, but have different electronics inside.
