Why buy this?

• Solar panels cannot be turned off in daylight.  One method is to cover the solar panels completely with opaque material, obscuring all light.  However, there is a risk of electric shock if the opaque material blows off the solar panels when you are working on the solar system.  This switch allows you to safely turn off the panels in daylight conditions to carry out maintenance or store lithium batteries (which are not going to be used for a period of time).
• They are also an effective way of testing your solar system for open circuit voltage and short circuit current.
• After MC4 connectors, DC switches are the second most common reason for system failure.  There is a fire risk of DC switch failure.  Therefore we have selected high quality solar isolator/switch designed to last 25 years.  They have been extensively tested including testing by TUV Germany.
